About the cell

The Placement Cell of the college aimed at wholesome development of the students. Through the cell activities, students are guided to prepare their resumes and to face the interviews. Counseling sessions are organized by the faculty for personality development of the students. Students are given guidance to appear in entrance exams like HTET, CTET etc. for the post of TGT/PGT in different subjects by the faculty members.
The cell gives vital information and guidance to the students regarding their career and tried to establish contact between the employment institution and the students. The cell helps the students to choose right career opportunities so that every student can get a job opportunity according to his/her aptitude. Information regarding various competitive exams as well as job opportunities is provided by the cell in order to update the students about scope of career and a better future. Cell organizes seminars/workshops/ lectures in the college on regular basis.

Objectives of Placement Cell

• To groom the students for preparing their resumes for jobs
• To provide an opportunity to the students to appear in an interview
• To provide ample opportunities for placement of B.Ed. Students to achieve maximum number of placements.
• To organize campus placement programmes for the students with Reputed Schools.
• To prepare students for campus recruitment arranging Mock Interviews, Group discussions through field experts.
• To promote career counseling by organizing special lectures by guest speakers viz. field experts, counseling consultants and most importantly by the immediately placed senior students.
• Tie-up arrangements with Schools of repute for Campus recruitment.
• Create awareness among students regarding available career options and help them in identifying their career objectives
• Act as a bridge between students, alumni and employers.

Mock Interview (06-03-2018)

The Placement Cell of College organized a mock Interview session for B.Ed. 2nd Year on 06-03-2018. Dr. D. K. Divan, Retd. Principal, Vaish College of Education, Rohtak was invited as an expert in the programme. He explained the different aspects of Interview Process with examples in his delibration. 38 students of B.Ed. participated in the programme. The students were given tips related to various parameters related to skill development, communication and personality development. Two panels were made comprising different subject teachers and mock interview was conducted. The students appeared and presented themselves. It was a great experience for students and faculty members as well. The programme was managed by all faculty members. Dr. R.P. Sharma, Principal appreciated the efforts of members of Placement Cell.

District Level Placement Fair  (26-03-2018)

A district level Placement Fair was organized by Placement Cell of the College. 20 reputed Schools and 9 Education Colleges of Rohtak and surrounding districts participated in the programme. Dr. Geeta Rani and Dr. Vinod Kumar managed the programme. In inauguration session Dr. R.P. Sharma, (Principal), Dr. D.K. Divan (Retd. Principal, Vaish College of Education, Rohtak), Sh. Sanjay Threja (CA Threja and Associates, Rohtak), Dr. Prem S. Sharma (Director, Silver Bell Public School, Rohtak) were present especially. The representatives of Schools and Education Colleges were honoured by presenting mementos. After inauguration the interview session was conducted. 89 Students of B.Ed. and J.B.T. from different colleges appeared in the interview. The different representatives from different schools conducted interviews according to their requirement. Near about 50 students were shortlisted by different schools in different subjects as PRT/TGT/PGT. Some of the shortlisted candidates were given appointments by the respective schools after completing formalities and necessary proceedings. All faculty members of G.B.College of Education actively managed the different activities of this programme. Dr. Sushma Chugh, Dr. Meena Sharma, Dr. Mahashevta, Dr. Savita Sharma, Mrs. Mona Malhotra, Mrs. Anita, Ms. Soam Kiran, Mrs. Poonam Attri were present. It was a great experience for the college to organize placement fair at such a big level. Thanks to almighty for making the programme such a great success.
